House Beautiful was launched in the USA in 1896, and got its UK debut in 1950. When working on a title with that kind of history, it was really important to honour both the publishing house style and the editor’s vision of the title. It was always gratifying working with excellent photographers and talented stylists, which is why House Beautiful is still a leading homes title in the UK.

While at Hearst, I worked on the layout of interior pages and setting the style of regular features. I led photoshoot propping and art direction of food shoots. I handled photography selection, colour correction and manipulation, plus some internal projects for the HR team.
